Terms of Service

1. What is Orevox

Orevox is a geopolitical risk intelligence API that aggregates publicly available data — including sanctions lists, travel advisories, political stability indicators, and conflict signals — from multiple sources and makes them accessible through a single REST API. Orevox is operated as a sole proprietorship based in the Netherlands.

By creating an account and using the Orevox API or dashboard, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Beta phase — no guarantees

During the beta phase:

• Features may be added, changed, or removed without prior notice.
• The service may be interrupted for maintenance or other reasons.
• Data may be incomplete, delayed, or contain inaccuracies.
• We reserve the right to discontinue the beta at any time.

Orevox provides risk intelligence data for informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, or compliance advice. Do not make business-critical decisions based solely on Orevox data without independent verification.

3. Acceptable use

You may use Orevox for lawful purposes only. The following are prohibited:

• Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing raw API data to third parties.
• Scraping or extracting data from the Orevox platform outside of the designated API endpoints.
• Using the service for any illegal purpose, including but not limited to circumventing sanctions.
• Using PEP or sanctions data to discriminate against individuals in violation of applicable law.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, bypass, or interfere with the security of the service.
• Sharing your API key with parties outside your organisation.

Derived works (e.g. risk scores, aggregated reports, internal dashboards) that do not expose raw Orevox data are permitted.

4. Beta pricing and tier changes

During the beta phase, all accounts are provisioned at the Enterprise tier free of charge. This is a temporary arrangement for the purpose of collecting feedback.

We reserve the right to introduce paid plans and to move accounts to a different tier at the end of the beta period. We will provide a minimum of 30 days' notice by email before any pricing changes take effect.

You are under no obligation to continue using the service if you do not agree to new pricing.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, Orevox is not liable for:

• Any damages resulting from decisions made on the basis of Orevox data.
• Loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity due to service interruption.
• Inaccuracies or omissions in the data provided by third-party sources.

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months preceding the claim. During the free beta, this amount is zero.

6. Account termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service.
• Abuse the API in a way that affects other users or the stability of the service.
• Have been inactive for more than 12 months.

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at orevox.admin@gmail.com. Upon deletion, your data will be removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Intellectual property

The Orevox platform, including its code, design, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Orevox. The underlying data originates from public third-party sources (EU, OFAC, UN, UK, etc.) and is subject to their respective terms of use. Orevox does not claim ownership of that underlying public data.

8. Governing law

These Terms of Service are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms shall be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
